Back to the Future Day!! by Ana

Hi! I’m really excited if you can’t tell becasue today is Back to the Future day! On this day the people in BttF came to the present and had an adventure that day. Or is it this day? Anyway from now on it’s going to be weird because instead of the future to us they’ll be visiting the past. I’m really into sci fi, my birthday is May the Fourth. It’s technically also Maria’s but she isn’t into sci fi as much as I am. Anyway Happy Back to the Future Day!!!

Blogoversery

I have no idea how to spell Blogoversery (Spell check has no idea either) but anyway 1 year ago I wrote my first post, my only reader being my mother. Since then I have had 39 comments, 52 posts, 399 views, 133 visitors, and 23 is the record of views on the blog. I have gotten 2 awards and have had people view my blog from only the US. I have 3 followers not counting my mother because her’s doesn’t show up (sorry mom) My most popular day is Sunday  and the most popular hour is 2 in the morning. (Yay I’m not the only night owl.) I have done things that I never would have done if I didn’t have a blog. Namely those being taking dolls to parks and museums. I can’t wait for the next year, which should be interesting. I plan to blog about the Sasha Festival if my mom and I go along with talking about this vacation. Thank you so much for listening to my rambling and chatter. Here’s to another year!

So, right now me, Kaya, and Satsuki are in Florida. Oh, Kaya says to tell you that it’s Arwen writing. We’ve been having a great time even though we’ve only been here for a day. Today Kaya and I went to a creek place. Satsuki had to stay home because Mommy had washed her hair because it smelled bad. Mom did get some pictures of us. Neither of us got in the water because it was really cold. Mom did because she’s a crazy swimmer. Mom’s also been cutting out patterns and says tomorrow she’ll work on making me some shorts and shirts for me to swim in. Right now we’re watching a movie called A Dog Named Christmas and all of us except Satsuki are crying (Satsuki is in bed.) because it’s about dogs, already you know about 2 that have died and we’re all missing our dogs. I’m missing Olive, Layette, and Napoleon. Kaya’s missing Tatlo and Rowena and mom’s missing her dog Gus a Golden Retriever that’s so smart it acts stupid.

16 reasons why I named my dolls their names: by those I named

Hi random people who have decided they feel like listening to my mom talk on and on. It’s Ana talking right now with the rest of the dollhood gang and 7 others who all have interesting names or at least can talk about why they are named what they’re named. So everyone is going to tell why they are named that why

  1. Me, Ana. Mom was reading a book where the person’s name was Ana…. she doesn’t remember the rest. She says it was a Royal Diaries book. Anyway Ana meant gold and my hair is gold. See the connection?
  2. Kiki. I was originally going to be some other name, I can’t remember. But Grandma kept calling me Kiki and eventually Mom called me that too. I thought it was because of the Kiki’s delivery service movie but the doll brand said my name WAS Kiki. So yeah that’s that.
  3. Emily. I have no idea why Mommy named me Emily. Kiki thinks that it’s because of the Emily Windsnap books or one of Mommy’s  friend was named Emily. Who knows. But it works and it suits me!
  4. Kaya I’m an American Girl Doll so I guess that Mom stuck with my normal name. It works. I like it.
  5. Maria Have any of you “random people” out there (as my twin called you. Yes Ana I read over your shoulder) the Mary-Frances books? Well my mother wanted a sewing kit and a doll so she could do the same things that Mary-Frances did. And the name of one of MF’s dolls was Maria or Marie. So that’s where I think I get my name.
  6. Meggie A girl in Mom’s girl scout troop was named Maggie and Mom kept calling her Meggie. So she named my Meggie to help her remember the difference between us. Thank Goodness she doesn’t do this to help her study, or we would all be named after even weirder things.
  7. Ella. As usual I have no idea where my name comes from. It might be from Ella Enchanted but I don’t think so. I do like the thought of my name being from that though.
  8. Arwen Most of the people out there will recognize my name from The Lord of the Rings. Mom’s going to make me an elf dress. I can’t wait. Oh, for those of you who haven’t read or watched LOTR Arwen is a character who’s an elf.
  9. Satsuki Kaya here typing for Satsuki ’cause she’s 3 and can’t read or write. Anyway Satsuki’s name is from the movie My Neighbor Torota. It’s a really good movie that we all recommend.
  10. Kira Me, Ana got to type again fro Kira, my baby sister. Mom wanted a baby sasha doll because there was a Sasha Festival where they were giving out free baby dresses. She didn’t get to go. But she did get a Baby Sasha Doll. Which is awesome. So Mom made a list of names during Thanksgiving break of different names. And Kira was one of them.
  11. Jingle Bells Hi. I’m going to type really quickly. Background: Im an elf that mom got 4 x-mas awhile ago. she named me Jingle Bells. I work at the N.Pole and am late cause ana takes along time 2 type. i was named Jingle Bells cause thats an elfy name. Ana’s explanation. Jingle Bells is an elf about the size of a barbie doll. Mom got her for Christmas and named her Jingle Bells because that’s an elfy name. Also she’s running late for work so she typed really fast.
  12. Morell Hi! I got Marie to help me type this up. I’m a mushroom person. I’m the size of one of Satsuki’s dolls which means I’m tiny. I live in Feyton, a 1/2 hour walk (for Jingle Bells)  to Dollhood. I’m named after a type of Mushroom!
  13. Tweedle Woodfee I live in Feyton with my siblings. (I’m the youngest) I’m from Magic Cabin and my name is actually Tweela but the Human read it as Tweedle and I decided to change my name to Tweedle because there are lots of Tweelas out there.
  14. Sarasponda Technically I’m a puppet but Mom treated me as if a was a doll so now I’m a doll, not really a puppet. My name is from a song and Mom remembered it so it works. My name is kinda like the name Sara but with an interesting twist.
  15. Pearl. I’m a mermaid, so my name almost has to be something to do with water. So I’m named Pearl. I really like it because my hair is purple and pearls are shiny and I think they can be purple.
  16. Rosa I’m a fairy too although I’m smaller. I was named Petal then I decided to change it to something that I like better, Rosa!

13 places I have gone with my dolls

This might not happen, I have just started taking my dolls places.

  1. Grammy’s house, in Ohio
  2. Grammy’s house in Florida. I get to go there next week and Satsuki, Arwen, and Kaya are all coming.
  3. Grandma’s house. She lives an hour away I think.
  4. Sasha Festival 2013. Held at an airport hotel and Ana got to go. This was before I had Kira.
  5. The Library. I once was young enough to do these American Girl programs. I was the oldest. Kaya went with me
  6. Vacation house in Michigan. I don’t remember where. I think that Kiki and Emily went with me then.
  7. Disney World Meggie went with me. I had a back pack and we went on a plane. It was epic.
  8. A campground for boy scouts or something. I remember carrying Meggie around dressed in daisy pjs. I was a Daisy at that time in girl scouts and I saw my troop leader and she commented on them.
  9. Ag place Chicago. I went there for my 8th birthday with Kaya. It was great.
  10. A park near my house. Most everyone has been here. I just haven’t taken pictures of them being in a time crunch to get pictures before the light ran out.
  11. My old elementary school. Arwen went here and this is where I took the first pictures of her
  12. The museum. Satsuki went here, twice and I have to post the pictures
  13. The dentist. I used to bring a doll to the dentist. I have a picture of me and Ella there.

Wow. I really didn’t think that I could come up with 13 different places that I had been with dolls. Leave a comment and tell me the most interesting place your dolls have been
