11 items of furniture

So this is a list of most of the doll furniture in my room. Not everything is included. Numbers  1-6 is what’s where the 18 inch ish dolls stay.

  1. crib used as a bed for Meggie and Ella. They really need a new support for it as the original was broken years ago by some brothers. They also need a mattress and new bedding.
  2. Flower dress stand thing. Used to hold bags. Everyone except Kaya, Satsuki, and Arwen have clothes on it for easy redressing.
  3. Bunks Currently there are two that my mom made. Eventually there will be another. The bunks are going to get woven blankets and quilts when I have the time.
  4. Kaya’s cot. Currently Kaya sleeps in a cot with her bedding.
  5. Some retired daybed from AG Kiki and Emily use it. I need to make them new bedding.
  6. A hairdressing chair that I got from my cousin. I have no idea where it’s from.
  7. Another crib. Used for my baby doll and her 2 sisters. My grandmother made it.
  8. A wooden bed/crib used for Felicity, a life sized newborn.
  9. A shelf set that I use for 3 calico critters, Jewel and Pepper and a bunny stuffed animal
  10. My fairy house. Home to 5 big fairies, like Arwen sized and 5 small fairies like the size of Satsuki’s stuffed animals
  11. Jinglebell’s furniture. Jinglebell is an elf. She has a bed, wardrobe, and a set of chairs and a table.

10 random doll related memories

  1. My older brother and his friend making a zip line for baby doll. I was mad.
  2. Seeing my mom carry one of my brothers in a baby sling and wanting one for me. (It was hello kitty. I was thrilled)
  3. leaving poor baby doll in the tree fort outside my house and making my dad go get her.
  4. Naming Meggie Meggie because there was a girl in my Girl Scout troop that was named Maggie and I kept calling her Meggie so I named my doll Meggie to remember her name.
  5. Not letting my friend brush Meggie’s hair because Meggie was brand new and only my mom could brush her hair.
  6. Sitting in bed with my mom doing doll hair.
  7. Stuffing Kiki with my mom.
  8. Having one day in the summer when all the dolls would come swimming with us.
  9. Picking out Felicity from this amazing doll store where you could look through this window and all the baby dolls were lying in cribs like real babies do. There were baby noises too, like the cooing and crying. My older brother likes electronics (hence the zip line.) and he and my dad were interested in the speakers while my mom and my looked at the babies.
  10. My mom gave me diapers for felicity since I saw her diapering my younger brothers. I would take the dirty diapers to her to clean. Eventual my imaginary friend and I came up with this spray that would clean the diapers. It was the sink. I would always wonder why the diapers my mom cleaned were dry. I guess that carmon and I hadn’t perfected the spay.

6 dolls that have never been on the blog

So, I messed up and yesterday’s post should be 5 dolls that I would sell. Not that that’s any easier.

  1. Baby Felicity. A life size newborn that I dress in my siblings and mine old baby clothes.
  2. My ninja doll I made of pipe cleaners.
  3. 5 Magic Cabin Fairy dolls. The 4 season fairies and one other one.
  4. Jingle Bells An elf I got for Christmas. The next year I got matching furniture for her.
  5. My younger brother’s cloth dolls. The dolls are the boy version of Kiki. They’re cousins to my dolls and are very annoying to them.
  6. Jewel and Pepper. Two dolls that are twins. Both are the size of a newborn to Kaya. I got Jewel as an advent calendar from my mom. I got Pepper this summer. Pepper is smiling much more then Jewel and one has blue eyes while the other has brown.

Satsuki hasn’t been on the blog much. I actually have pictures from 2 different trips to the museum that I have to post.

6 Dolls that I would Sell

This is the post for Monday.

Why oh Why did I decide to ask this question? All my dolls either have sentimental value or I like them too much to sell.  I guess that I would sell the mini dolls I have from the American Girl stuff. Honestly I think that I’m going to work very hard to never have to be in a position like that where I would have to sell dolls. Dilemma solved.

6 dolls that I couldn’t bring myself to sell at all would be

  1. My baby doll
  2. a handkerchief doll thing that belonged to some of my dead relatives on my dad’s side
  3. Kaya
  4. Ella
  5. Meggie
  6. Kiki

And I would have a hard time selling any of them. If I marry my spouse better be doll tolerant and good with wood.

My first doll

I already told you about this, but my first doll was Baby Doll. Scroll down to see some stories about her.

Since I already did a post about Baby Doll, I was going to try to make a list of when I got my different dolls, but that proved impossibly. So I enlisted the help of my mom, Hi Mom, she said to post about what is happening during Fall Break. Well, I’m going to Florida and planning to take Satsuki and maybe Arwen and Kaya. I don’t know. I am planning to take pictures and sew for the people who come. So that was fun.

Hopefully it will get more interesting.
